Built for the experience.
A fun, content-led tourism website design in Cornwall for Cornwall Segway, bringing multiple experiences, seasonal locations and online booking together in one clear customer journey.
WEB → CONTENT → BOOKINGS → LOCAL SEO
THE BRIEF
Make the experience easier to discover — and book.
Cornwall Segway was already an established attraction, but its digital presence needed updating to better reflect the energy of the business and make a growing range of experiences easier for customers to understand.
With multiple locations, seasonal activity and different packages for families, individuals, groups, schools and corporate customers, the website needed a clearer structure while keeping one commercial objective prominent throughout: getting customers from discovering an experience to making a booking.
Working within an agreed budget, the project brought together a refreshed visual direction, website redevelopment, existing booking-system integration, search structure and a completely new bank of original video and photographic content.
The multiple-offering point is particularly legitimate: the live site currently separates Segway Experiences, Mini Segway, Family Segway, Group Segway, Corporate & School and Archery & Rifle Shooting.

THE WEBSITE
Built around the experience.
Cornwall Segway isn’t selling a product customers can fully understand from a description alone. The website needed to communicate the energy, accessibility and fun of actually taking part.
The existing brand was cleaned up and developed into a more contemporary digital direction, using bold typography, strong calls to action, oversized buttons and custom wave elements to give the website a deliberately playful character without making it difficult to use.
Behind that visual approach, the structure was reorganised around the different experiences and audiences, giving customers a straightforward route from discovering what Cornwall Segway offers through to choosing the activity that suits them.
The live site now surfaces those different experiences directly from the homepage rather than treating Segway as a single generic offering.
CONTENT PRODUCTION
Show the fun, don’t just describe it.
A structured one-day shoot across multiple locations created the visual content the website was missing.
From that single production we delivered a longer feature film, a short hero edit, social reels and high-resolution stills pulled from the 4K footage — giving the client a consistent bank of content without needing a separate photography shoot.
PROJECT FILM
The story behind the experience.
A longer-form film created to introduce Cornwall Segway, show the experience in action and give prospective customers a better sense of what to expect before booking.
BOOKINGS
Keep the destination obvious.
From choosing an experience to booking it.
Cornwall Segway already had an established booking platform, so the existing system was retained and built into a clearer customer journey.
Prominent Book Now calls to action, visible phone contact and a mobile-first route from browsing to booking kept the commercial goal simple throughout.

CONTENT & SEARCH
Built for a seasonal business.
01
LOCATIONS
Multiple operating locations and seasonal activity were reflected in the site structure, giving customers clearer routes to the right experience.
02
PERFORMANCE
Video was optimised carefully for web use so the site could retain visual impact without becoming unnecessarily heavy.
03
SEO
Basic on-page SEO, metadata and page structure were built around the different experiences, locations and customer searches.
THE RESULT
One joined-up platform for the adventure.
The completed project gave Cornwall Segway a more modern and energetic digital presence built around the way customers actually discover and book its experiences.
A clearer website structure brings together multiple activities and locations, while prominent booking routes and telephone contact make the next step easy for customers who are ready to take part.
Just as importantly, a single carefully planned production day created the visual assets needed across the wider project — from the website hero and longer brand film through to social content and still imagery — allowing the available budget to work harder while maintaining a consistent visual identity throughout.
The result is a responsive, content-led website that feels considerably closer to the experience Cornwall Segway is actually selling.
